SRRO has been in operation in western Wyoming since 2003. We pride ourselves in operating on a small scale by only booking a limited number of hunters each year. This keeps the hunts on a more personable level and many of SRRO clients become good friends, returning year after year. The majority of our hunts are conducted in Star Valley. Star Valley is located 40 miles south of Jackson Hole and 100 miles south of Yellowstone National Park.
Incredible scenery abounds in this beautiful valley, surrounded by the Bridger-Teton and Caribou-Targhee National Forests. Altitudes range from 5,600 feet with the mountains rising to nearly 11,000 ft. There are three blue ribbon trout fishing rivers located in Star Valley: the Salt, Greys and Snake River, provide ample casting for Cutthroat, German Browns, Brookies, Rainbows and Mackinaw. These rivers meet in Alpine to form the Palisades Reservoir, surrounded by steep forested mountains, this 16,000-acre reservoir is an excellent spot for boating, camping, and wildlife viewing. |
